@isak Thanks! I really tried to put the motor in the rear with the whole gearbox including diff and axles, but the Spitfire has a leaf spring above the rear diff acting as both support and spring for the rear wheels. So then I decided to put the motor in the front and tried to use at least the first reduction on the second axle after the rotor. But.. The motor unit with the second axle was just a little bit too offset on one side. The driveshaft running to the back just has 8mm clearance on both sides from the frame. Bummer. But the Spitfire seems to have quite heavy reduction on the rear diff and now when I have driven it for the first time, It feels OK and peppy. I wont get all the horsepower out of the motor but the original engine was a 70 Hp design from the 50s. So I'm OK with my choice. The car is now a bit low in the rear, due to the batteries, so I will add a pair of coil over dampers, to lift it up slightly. -Stand by for spring updates 🤠

Not quite ready, but wheels are turning now!
I tried to use the Leaf reduction gearbox. Unfortunately there was no space. So there is now a straight shaft from the bare motor to the rear diff. The motor wont run on optimal RPM, but the original Spitfire engine produces 70 hp at 6000 Rpm, so I hope this will be OK. The car is very low and uses a leaf spring over the rear axels. So putting the complete drivetrain in the rear would be too much work for me. Spring 2026, it will be rolling.

Wheels are now turning! HV relays turning on and off with the ignition key.
I have an American J1772 charge port..NOT a Euro Type2. So the white wire is to be connected to the white.
Oled screen still dead thou. So I guess I need a replacement.
Still in a bit of euforia 🥰

I got the (old) screen with white connectors. If that information matters.

This really feels like something is wrong with the Resolve ev box? The little oled screen does not wake up. If all CAN wires are connected nothing clicks. If if I disconnect the PDM CAN the HV relays closes and opens with the ignition key. With The Inverter CAN disconnected Relays click ON but stays on even if I turn off ignition power. If I disconnect both Inverter and PDM CAN and only BMS CAN is connected to the Resolve box Relays turn on and off with ignition power but in all cases the oled stays dead. When the PDM gets HV it charges the 12V battery. The water pump also starts as intended.

The little screen does not turn on. Voltage is 3,3V and the contactors on the precharge unit opens up to the charger. The charger delivers 14V to the battery and the water pump starts after a few seconds.
Nothing more happens. When I try to turn off with the ignition key The contactors dont let go. I have to Use the HV breaker and then disconnect the 12V battery. Then contactors open.
Om the PDM I connected pin 30 to white wire and 29 to green.
Using Leafspy and I get a ton of fault codes. Battery looks OK at 90% SOC.
I went thru all wires multiple times.. Any suggestions? 😢
