Getting there slowly....
Cars as purchased

First paint ready for mechanicals.

Leaf motor bolted to original Overdrive gearbox means I'll be able to run in 3rd or 4th all the time with overdrive being selected where needed (although not in reverse - overdrives have a habit of exploding when going backwards!). Adaptor plate still to be trimmed.

Offering it up. Little clearance but does fit using original gearbox / engine mounts.

Inverter charger in using original radiator mounting brackets.

First batteries fitted.

Front battery boxes started.

Rear batteries shoehorned in.

First test drive - it does actually move under it's own steam.

Further progress - it does all fit...

Classic mini radiator with electric fan appears to offer more than enough cooling

Dashboard has relevant switches etc. Overdrive engaged warning light will hopefully remind me not to select reverse if it's engaged.

OLED display installed in centre of main guages. (@isak - I have sent you an email recently regarding this compnent failing - everything is working i.e. I can engage forwards, reverse etc but as OLED has stopped working (only after about 6 uses) I can't tell what mode I'm in, state of charge or braking status so your advise would be useful).

Installation almost complete but still needs final paintwork, interior touches, windscreen etc before i can use properly. Not sure I'f I/m going to bother with roof - it's a fine weather car anyway.
