1966 Jeep CJ5 4x4, GE Jeep!

We're converting this old Jeep to electric via 2015 Nissan Leaf. This is first time effort with electric conversion.
Started this process about a year ago in my house garage, ended up building a new 30x40 workshop so we could have a 2-post car lift to help with the conversion. I'll be adding pics as we progress. Cheerio! Les and Ethan, northeastern California

The battery pack was in good condition, 10 of 12 bars, car had a 75 mile range. I drove it quite a bit before removing drive train. Got the whole car for $3200.

Dropping the whole front end down is an easier way to remove the motor. I know, having a car lift isn't something most DIYers have, so we're fortunate.

We're mating to the original 3 speed trans, 2 speed transfer case for full gear driven and 4x4 operation.
